The heritage of the Eastern Shore is grounded in agriculture. Having grown up on a farm and now farming with my husband, I serve on the Board to protect and preserve agricultural land for my children’s and grandchildren’s generations.

The Executive Director of Thompson Ag Consulting LLC, Lindsay A. Thompson has also served as the Executive Director of the Maryland Grain Producers’ DE-MD Agribusiness Association and Industry Task Force II on 2,4-D Research Data. Thompson acquired a B.S. in Policital Science from Washington College and an M.S. in Public Policy from University of Maryland. She is a recipient of the 2022 Southern Crop Production Association (SCPA) Don W. Beise Award for exceptional service to SCPA and southern agriculture. In addition to volunteering at the Wye of Carmichael United Methodist Church and serving on the Boards of the Mid-Atlantic 4R Nutrient Stewardship Association and the Maryland Governor’s Pesticide Advisory Committee, she enjoys hunting, floral arrangement, and photographing her children. A native and current resident of Queenstown, Thompson’s favorite Eastern Shore landscape is her family’s farm on the Wye River, where she currently resides with her husband and three children.
