We live in one of the most special communities in the world. We have travelled all over the world, experienced many many parts of nature, wildlife, resources, and cultures. While we believe we’ve seen very special things, I don’t think there’s a more special place to live than the Eastern Shore. We celebrate that every day. ESLC applies science and very technical business knowledge to achieve results with a passion. Protecting lands, towns, and people are not passive acts. It takes vision, energy, and some real work to make this happen.
Now retired, Billy Boyd brings a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington & Lee and more than forty years of banking expertise to his role on the ESLC Board of Directors Investment Committee. He has previously served as a trustee for the MD/DC Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, and also serves on the Eastern Shore Advisory Council of Preservation Maryland and the board of the Mid Shore Community Foundation. Boyd grew up on Rollyston Farm in St. Michaels, and recently returned to Lobbs Crook Farm in Wye Mills with his wife Meta after spending forty years working in Baltimore. He enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, diving, gardening, and spending time in nature, especially throughout Wye Island and the upper branches of the Wye River.
