I strongly believe in the mission of ESLC to preserve our farms and green space, also the emphasis on making our towns desirable places to live to take pressure off of open space.

A Cambridge native, Brian Roche has spent seventeen years at Bay Country Communications, where he currently works as the Chief Technology Officer. Roche is on the ESLC Board’s Towns Committee, bringing to this role his experience serving as the Chair of Cambridge Main Street Green Team, the Vice Chair of Maryland Broadband Board of Directors, a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Rural Broadband, the President of the Choptank Heritage Trail, and the City of Cambridge Commissioner. With a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies from Swarthmore College and a Masters in Information Systems from Drexel University, Roche also serves on the board of Maryland Broadband Cooperative and volunteers with ShoreRivers and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Roche currently lives in Cambridge with his wife and two children where he enjoys spending time with them, reading, biking and boating. His favorite place on the Eastern Shore is the community pier in the Cambridge neighborhood where Roche spent his childhood.
