Come celebrate Walk Maryland Day and kick off the month of Walktober with ESLC on a trail walk in Chestertown! Join ESLC’s Director of Land Use and Policy, Owen Bailey on Wednesday October 2nd at 5 PM for a trail walk and casual conversation about how a town’s master plan and comprehensive plan can help to bolster the success of park and trail systems.
Walkers will meet at 5 PM in Wilmer Park. We will take time to gather, then set out around 5:15 PM and walk for about an hour. Please bring water and wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes. Plenty of parking and bathroom facilities are available at the park. We will walk the Gilchrest Rail Trail up Morgnec Road towards the latest extension of the trail that was completed just two years ago.
